In April 2021, Bournemouth Hospital Charity and Poole Hospital Charity came together to create University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity.

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity exists to help enhance the care and treatment of our patients at the Royal Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch Hospitals.

Our mission:

To enhance the care and treatment of patients accessing NHS services at the Royal Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch Hospitals by fundraising to provide enhanced facilities, state of the art equipment and support NHS staff health, wellbeing and development. University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity supports all areas of work at University Hospitals Dorset with supporters still being able to donate to a ward, department, or hospital of their choice across the Royal Bournemouth, Poole or Christchurch Hospitals.

The funds we raise through donations, gifts, legacies and charity events enable us to support our hospitals in ways that are over and above what the NHS can fund.

Through our work alongside the community, our corporate partners and the many other supporters and volunteers who give their money and time to us, we have been able to make a real difference to our patients, their families and our staff.
